Read the full answerDo not wait quietly for 9 months. Get on cancellation lists, ask your pediatrician for speech and OT referrals, and contact Early Intervention if your child is under 3. If your child is 3 or older, request a school district evaluation in writing. You do not need a medical diagnosis to start many supports.
