IEP meeting checklist. What should parents bring?

We have our first IEP meeting next week for kindergarten. I have the evaluation report and a lot of nerves. What should I bring so I do not freeze or forget the important questions?

Bring the evaluation, any outside reports, a one-page parent concerns letter, examples of work, notes from teachers or therapists, and a written list of questions. I would also bring three priorities: what you most want your child to learn, what is making school hard now, and what support has already helped. Ask how progress will be measured and when you will receive updates. After the meeting, email a short summary of what you understood was agreed.
